Kinston’s streets came alive this weekend with the glow of holiday cheer as families, friends, and neighbors gathered for the 2025 Christmas Parade. The air was crisp, the lights dazzling, and the spirit of togetherness undeniable.

This year’s parade carried something extra special: the first‑ever “Bike with Lights” showcase, proudly sponsored and supported by our community. What began as an idea to bring a little more sparkle to the procession turned into a breathtaking display of creativity, joy, and unity.

🚴✨ The First Bike with Lights

Dozens of riders pedaled through downtown Kinston, their bicycles wrapped in strings of twinkling lights, glowing ornaments, and festive garland. Children waved, parents cheered, and the crowd lit up with smiles as the bikes rolled by — proving that sometimes the simplest ideas can bring the brightest joy.

🙌 Thank You to Everyone Who Made It Possible

This magical night would not have been possible without the people who came together to make it shine:

  • Local families who decorated their bikes and rode with pride.

  • Community volunteers who helped organize, guide, and keep the parade safe.

  • Kinston Police and Fire Departments, ensuring smooth traffic and safety for all.

  • Downtown businesses, who stayed open late and added their own sparkle to the evening.

  • Church groups and youth organizations, marching, singing, and celebrating the season.

  • Neighbors from Pitt, Lenoir, and Greene counties, who came through to support and join in the fun.

Every smile, every wave, every glowing bike was a reminder of what makes Kinston special: our people, our heart, and our willingness to come together.

🌟 A Night to Remember

The 2025 Christmas Parade wasn’t just about lights and music — it was about community. It was about showing our children the joy of tradition, reminding ourselves of the power of unity, and celebrating the season with gratitude.

As the bikes rolled past, shining against the winter night, one thing was clear: Kinston knows how to light up Christmas.

“To everyone who rode, marched, cheered, and supported — thank you. The first Bike with Lights was a dream come true, and together, we made the 2025 Kinston Christmas Parade a night our city will never forget.”
