From Probation to the 50‑Yard Line: A Weekend of Football, Friendship, and Favor

This weekend, I got to do something I haven’t done in a long time: travel. Not just anywhere — to the nation’s capital, to watch the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Washington Commanders live and in person.
It wasn’t just a game. It was a moment. A reminder that God’s favor doesn’t care what people say about you.
I want to thank Les Lipford, who blessed me with the tickets — no hesitation, no judgment, just love. And Makeba Harper, who drove every mile with patience, grace, and the kind of road trip energy that makes the journey just as good as the destination.
We laughed. We cheered. We soaked in the stadium lights and the roar of the crowd. And somewhere between kickoff and the final whistle, I realized something: I’m not who I used to be. I’m free to move again. Free to live again.
After everything — the probation, the setbacks, the people who counted me out — I’m still standing. Still smiling. Still favored.
“While most see me as a nothing, I am something in God’s eyes. And He favors me.”
And to top it all off, we got to see all the main attractions, and we met no strangers — just good people with good vibes.
